Call Me Irresponsible

You forgot to give me a wake up call in the morning.
You were late on our first date
You made us miss our first cinematic experience because you had to help cook for a friend's party.
You left ilynn and i to our own devices at that very party.
You thought you lost your gym membership card so i had to call up the manager to schedule an appointment.
You left me alone last minute at ten o'clock the other night to entertain a friend.
You nearly lost your phone again at paragon.
You made us miss the first part of the Rugby 7s because you had to cut your hair. That and the very exciting match between Argentina and All Blacks.

you are a lousy poot! poke your nose, pluck your eyebrows i'm gonna make you cry. So irresponsible. But guess whose undisciplined? hahaha i hope you see this pokpok.

hackneyed

the word 'ironic' has become so cliched. everything is ironic nowadays. expressions range in a myriad: from depicting complex incongruities to simple teenage angst. So we use it all the time now, virtually ubiquitous; for almost anything and everything.
Boring.

i wish i could invent another word in lieu of the former's mounting universality. brucadility! haha i just made that up. haiyah i hate exams, and i hate army. and so tomorrow is friday, and will i see you or will i not? this aching need gets all its fuel from my aching heart.

have a break, have a weiwei

so here i am, armed with Cleo Magazine, (i'm been a faithful reader since my days in nanyang), and hoping do to some sort of wishlist. since hong has one, i wanna have one too!!!! haha.. ok that was my attempt at whiney self-justification.

So here goes in no particular order.
disclaimer: it's kinda pretty long

1. More time. so i can sleep/watch tv/read/shop... the works

2. Life time supply of Honeystars cereal or Frosties

3. More money.

4. a nice watch. from emotus, ck or something.

5. nice pair of wedges.

6. Jeans tt can finally fit my weird bodyshape argh

7. a car? haha i'd like an aston martin please. a blackblack beetle will suit just fine too actually, to match my black wallet and black handphone and black laptop case. i could call it BBB!

8. The Dead by James Joyce.

9. GO karting. ya i wanna go-kart

10. Wakeboarding. everybody always makes empty promises of bringing me or teaching me. whatever

11. Travelling. ( i should put this right at the top of my list.) i adore wanderlusts. 'seeing the world' has such a romantic ring to it. it would be so thrilling. Venice, rome, sweden, finland, visit THE ice hotel, The london eye, Big Ben etc etc gah ok.. let's nt get carried away

12. Bags! Shoes! and oh Jeans! Tops! Shorts! Skirts! vintage, printed, flowery, puffy who cares, love em love em all!

13. a sponsored makeup course so i can learn to put makeup properly or forever be inept at it. either that or tonnes and tonnes of eyeshadows, lipsticks, foundations, blushers, so i can experiment myself to tears till i become so skilled at it.

14. A bigger room. make that a bigger house, so that i can install a beautiful study/library and finally have nice mahogany shelves installed to take all our books off the floor.

15. A puppy. who will grow into a nice beeeeg licky waggy doggie who'll play with my baby Russ and who can sleep at the foot of the bed at night licking my toes to sleep.

16. Nice abs like No.6 in my sports pageant.

17. Join a new sport. aka ultimate frisbee

18. Haircut/colour

ok. back to studying. studying only makes one stray in and out of fantastic whimsies. hmpfh

So Happy Together Too

watched a play today. it's funny a guy can be just as trigger whore as a girl but oh well. we went equinox and took some nice shots of the skyline at night. have i told you i think cityhall is the most romantic urban landscape you can plonk yourself in Singapore? Yes i have :) but it would have been better if they played good ole oldies instead of hiphop. just very incongruent la oh well.. but we took some pretty nice shots of our entire evening out! i don't know how to do a collage because err i'm not savvy at these sorta things so i'm being very patient and typing this while waiting for all my photos to be uploaded.

yay!! so many photos photos galore! tml it's rugby sevens' photos! i say SOUTH AFRICA WIN!!! all blacks too arrogant already POOH!

Half Rhymes

i was thinking about blue today too. and black black! what a nice coincidence :)
Blue, the tinge which colours the cleanest white and deepest black.
nicely done.

i've got tickets to the Rugby Sevens and a play tomorrow at the Esplanade.
i wish it'll always stay the penultimate day but never the ultimate. so i can always linger in the slight thrill of anticipation. the act of fulfilment isn't at all fulfilling if it comes too soon and sudden. Burst Joy's grape, and it's over before you know it. Hong's drawing inspiration from songs, that which lyrics can express what the heart fails many a time to do. For me? i'm drawing inspiration from the poetry and books from my literature modules.

Songs do charm their way into our hearts by way of negotiating words for us. But as Keats says, the station of half-knowing, half-articulating and half-expressing proves more valuable than when you try to attach words to them.
1. you never really pinpoint the essence of what your trying to express.
2. but when you do, the mystery is lost.

Silence is best i think. The air tremors with profound thoughts but never gives way to translation. And I sit there in beautiful peaceful silence knowing his wordless presence brings more than words can say.

Retro Chic

i love my wapple!! i can steal moosic from other people's lappies haha. and i download mambo mix from some fella. i want mambo! boo.. i hate exams. me you and you and you and more you's.. about ten of us, mambo-ing on the dancefloor yay! haha i'm in the library now, two essays due tomorrow and i feel like getting up and dancing on the table. maybe everybody will start dancing with me along with mambo music. kinda like the motorola bollywood advertisement on tv hee :)

i lub bimbo day!

this is my tribute to one of nature's best bimbo ever. the Ouster, The Queen, The Bimbo Whatever! char char has had her poor ears screamed into by me over the phone, laughed at my lame jokes, stood up for me in e face of detractors and romanticised and screamed and wriggled her way with me through quite a few years of school, life, work, love and sentosa trips and clubbing nights and movies and boring shopping days and rugby trainings and oogling at guys blah blah blah...

and.. how could i forget, bimbo 'conveniently' DITCHED ME at 11.59pm on a saturday night because she was tired and she didn't wanna watch Casanova with me and yum. Did she eventually watch another show with the unused ticket stub? We will never know. Did she really feel THAT tired that she had to leave me alone with yumyum on another last minute date? We will never know. for the secrets of the hearts of bimbos stay within their hearts, if not their head. hahaha

YAY! bimbo misses bimbo la. you know bimbos can't exist on their own for long right? they need each other! after exams we'll bimbo around like before ok. without BERNARD! ahem haha
